Let me introduce myself- My name is Sandra and I live with my husband in a little corner of Provence. I am in charge of my own life and have a business in Personal Development, which I love.
I was brought up in the countryside of Northumberland, a lovely part of the UK, with a background in agriculture. My studies took me through business and economics, but I traded a professional career for family business. Life was a treadmill of work and bills, and family politics, with little spare time for hobbies.
I was looking for an opportunity to be able to have flexible hours to give me the time freedom to do the things I want.
Several years later I jumped at the opportunity to move to France and live the “provencal dream”. That however, was not without challenge, living in a new country with a different language and bureaucracy. We worked in villa management and later set up a gîte business, which although rewarding, was hard physical work. Then came the awakening, the years were passing but the pension pot was not going to achieve expectation.
So I started looking for something, less physical, to supplement and ultimately replace current income and to make provision for the future. I am so grateful I saw that little ad.
