I feel ever grateful to have found an opportunity to join the Personal Development industry , and build my own online business in this worthwhile sector.

My husband and I are both from the UK and we have a blended grown up family and an increasing number of gorgeous grandchildren! Online business provides the freedom and flexibility to be available for family events, but also to have an independent lifestyle

My business gives us the opportunity to travel and explore the world without being restricted to annual holiday time, and I didn't have to wait until retirement to be able to have that freedom.

We have been resident in France for some years, but this year has been full of travel around Europe, investigating new places and crossing off destinations on our goal list. none of this would have been possible before

I love the satisfaction of working with an international team of motivated men and women as they create a new level of success in their lives .

THE PROBLEM THAT LED ME HERE:

I started my online business journey 6 years ago. It doesn't seem possible. It seems like yesterday but has been so much fun.

It all came about after spinal surgery. A bag of compost was the catalyst. After many months of various treatments and alternatives, and feeling ditressed, depressed and very grumpy- surgery was a last resort. Post-op recovery involved a lot of time walking in the countryside, with lots of time to reflect.

The time had come for a complete change of direction. Apart from the physical toll, I seemed to have spent a lot of time being all things to all people

Approaching 60 the options were limited. An ex-pat in a country where qualifications and language skills are not always recognised, was going to make a decent "job" a challenge. Besides, I didn't want to work for anyone else. I wanted to be my own boss

Retirement was not an option- the pension pot was not big enough, and besides, I felt I had a lot more to offer. although the prospect of more down-time was certainly appealing, I wasn't ready to retire- I didn't feel that old!

I had felt trapped by our hospitality business and needed a route to a new vehicle for success. I felt there must be a solution in this online world.

If I could find something out there that could exceed my current income but give me a semi-retired lifestyle I would have found the ideal!

THE BUSINESS THAT TOOK OVER MY LIFE BUT GAVE LITTLE LIFESTYLE

I have been involved in several businesses over the years, with varying degrees of success, from family business in agriculture, to hot-foil printing and then health and nutrition. I have learned a lot in very different fields, but nothing seemed the right fit.

Our move to France was a whole new ball game and there were many challenges including an exciting spell in hospitality on the Côte D'Azur, Stewardess Training for the SuperYachts and teaching English as a foreign language

A move inland was the start of a very good business. We built up a gîte business in the provencal countryside. we entertained people from around the world and in the beginning it was both rewarding and great fun. As the years passed, however, I could see life passing me by. The seasonality of the business meant that there was zero down time in high season. We were so tied. Always on site. An alternative way of life, perhaps, but jolly hard work. So many times we had to turn down invitations, and we hardly ever saw family or friends.

.Then came the back injury and wake-up call. The time had come for change
